Ephraim Winship, late of Cambridge ffarms [Lexington], dec'd intestate, ye 19th of Oct. 1696 & adm'x being granted to Eliza: ye Relict Widow of sd Ephraim Whinship who afterwards Married with Joseph Peirce of Wattertowne, who after his Marriage with ye sd admistr'x proseeded to a further adminst'n as to paying of debts &c.

His Hon'd ffather in law mr ffrancis Kendall at Wooburne demands that son in law Ephraim Winshep in the time of the former Warr Caled Phillips Warr, came to his house for shelter for fear of the Indians, because his liueing was then in ye Woods Remote from Neighbours, and he brought with him his Antient mother in law Reigner a Widow [Mary, widow of Samuel Rayner] of Whome he was to take Care & that ye sd ffrances Kendall did keep ye sd Widow Reigner for sd Ephraim Winship with provetians more yn [than] a Yeare and halfe; at Eight pounds p[e]r Yeare & halfe comes to 12 lb.
