[Note: this birth date appears wrong. It is not clear what the source is, presumably assumption based on misinterpreting the age at death, or some family record made when he was an adult (or even later, such as the modern stone erected by a descendant), but it appears wrong for several reasons. It is too close to Abigail's baptism in 1741. Emmons is listed last, after Abigail, in his father's will, so younger. His age at death (in 78th year, so 77 in 1819) and History of Lancaster says he was 23 when he married in 1765, both calculating to birth in 1742. And of course, the baptism in 1742 which would typically be very soon after his birth, not usually over a year later with another child baptized inbetween.]
