Will of Elizabeth (Downing) Smith
- Pages 111-12. Will of Elizabeth Smith, being sick and weak, dated 26 Sept. 1739.
- Unto my son Edwin Smith my Negro woman named Nan and her increase, the first child she shall bring to be for my son Benja. Smith and the rest I lend as before to my son Edwin during his natural life.
- Unto my son Isaac Smith one Negro girl named Moll.
- Unto my sons John and Saml. Smith one shilling sterling apiece. They have received their parts before.
- To my daughter Elizabeth one shilling sterling she having received her part before.
- My Negro woman Nan and her increase after my son Edwin's decease go to my daughter Anne except the first child to my son Benjamin.
- The first child raised on the Negro Moll to be for my grandaughter Winifred Smith.
- All my wearing cloaths to be divided between my two daughters Elizabeth and Ann.
- Unto my son Isaac one young horse on the condition that he gives unto my grandson William Bryant one hundred acres of land when he comes to the age of eighteen and that my estate be not appraised.
