IV, no. 394, Covington, Kentucky, Thursday, Sept. 14, 1882, p. 3, col. 1 (sub 'Newport'): Mrs. Elizabeth Doxon, a former well known citizen of this city, died from convulsions of the heart, at the residence of Gen. G. R. Paul, in Washington, D.C., day before yesterday morning. The deceased was born near where the city of Dayton, O., now stands, in the year 1792, and removed to this city in the year 1825, and remained here until directly after the close of the late war, when she removed to Washington, and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Gen. Paul, and continued to do so up to the time of her death. She was the grandmother of Mr. Geo. Washington, a very prominent member of the bar of this city. Mrs. Doxon's remains were brought to this city last night for interment, and the funeral will take place to-morrow.
