  2. ↑ According to "Richard, William, and Hugh, Sons of John Briggs of Taunton, Massachusetts", NEHGR, p. 125:268, the father was "of Taunton" when he acknowledged a deed in 1735, moved to Norton in 1743, and to Keene, NH, about 1765. This suggests Eliphalet was born in Taunton. Age at death give birth about 1734, but parents marriage in late 1734 suggests it probably was in 1735.
