    Doyle Kidd Simmons, 88, of Vilonia, died Wednesday (October 29, 2003) at Conway Regional Medical Center. He was born June 10, 1915, in Hamlett, AR (Faulkner County) to the late Rev. E.F. Simmons and Jennie Parker Simmons. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Alice Mae Lewis Simmons (1996); brothers Darrell D.Simmons of Cleveland, TN; Dennis P. Simmons of Queen City, TX; a sister Dorothy L. Simmons of Vilonia, AR; and a grandson Ricky Robinson of Vilonia.

    He was a member of Beryl Baptist Church and had previously been a member of Central Baptist Church, North Little Rock, for 41 years where he was a Deacon. He was a retired Construction Superintendent with Pickens and Bond Construction, where he worked for 37 years.

    Survivors are two daughters, Margaret Robinson of Vilonia and Barbara Cloud of North Little Rock; a son and daughter-in-law, William Franklin and Martha Simmons of Shreveport, LA; a son and daughter-in-law, Lewis Edward and Judy Simmons of North Little Rock; brother, Dexter S. Simmons of Porter, TX; sisters, Drucie Fortner of Conway; Delma Harris and Dorcas Measel of Vilonia; Doris Shaw of Conway; and Donnie Sartain of Little Rock; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel, Conway, with Bro. Gary Pridmore officiating. Interment will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

    Pallbearers are Greg Cloud, Mike Cloud, Roger Robinson, Bryan Simmons, Frankie Simmons, and Dean Simmons.

    Memorials may be made to Beryl Baptist Church of Vilonia.
