    Dora M. Duchenois, 67, of 2247 S. Custer Road, Custer, passed away Saturday at University Park Living Center, Muskegon

    Dora Larr was born May 9, 1929, in Mason County, the daughter of Orin and Ethel (Lawton) Larr.

    She grew up in Mason County and attended Resseguie Country School and later Scottville High School, graduating in 1947. She was married March 8, 1952, to Curtis Duchenois and he preceded her in death in 1980. She worked for the Mason County Fruit Packers for several years after working for Stokely's in Scottville for three years. She was a member of the Custer VFW Gold Bar Post No. 5096 Auxiliary.

    Surviving are three sons, Milford Duchenois of Custer, Leslie Duchenois of Custer, and Derwin Duchenois of Ludington; two daughters, Mrs. Dan (Lavonne) Vanderboegh of Branch, and Mrs. David (Sheila) Bates of Scottville, one sister, Mrs. Bernice Sorensen of Custer, six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and her parents, by three brothers and one sister.

    Services for Mrs. Duchenois will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednedsday at the Stephens Funeral Home chapel, Scottville, with the Rev. Michael Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Custer. The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
