HAZLEHURST---Mr. Donald Lee "Don" Holmes, 70, of 51 Elton St., Hazlehurst, who passed away Monday.
Mr. Holmes was a native of North Vernon, IN., and have resided in Jeff Davis County since 1965. He was a member of the Hazlehurst First Baptist Church, and was retired from Lythonia Lighting as a tool and Die maker.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Peacock "Liz" Holmes of Hazlehurst; daughter, Sandy and Roger Creamer of Indiana; son, Duane and Brenda Holmes of Indiana; sisters-in-law, Sarah Jo Thomas of Hazlehurst, and Mary Frances and Jimmy Nester of Hazlehurst; nieces, Algena and Randy Smith of Hazlehurst, Angie and Ricky Watkins of Mershon, and Nannette and Myron Sellers of Hazlehurst; great-nieces, Nichole Smith, and Ashlee Smith of Hazlehurst and four grandchildren.
The family may be contacted at the family residence at 51 Elton St., Hazlehurst.
Visitation will be held 5-9 p.m., at Wainright Parlor Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at First Baptist Church with The Rev. John Darsey, and the Rev. Rick Brown will officiate.
