From Chesterton Tribune, Dec 10, 1885:

Messrs. West and Don Lytle, of Valparaiso, were down here a short time ago, to see what encouragement would be given them in starting an ice wagon in Chesterton. The Lytles are old and experienced ice-men, and think Chesterton able to support the business. They are expected here again soon, to settle definitely whether they will locate here or not.
