Several trees show the David married to Catherine (born NY) as the son of James RICHARDSON and Christian OUTERSON/DUTERSON but source data is lacking (as yet). It does look possible. Of particular interest is his 1850 NY census entry where he and Catherine are at Deerfield, Onedia Co., about 12 miles away from where his potential step brother Thomas ended up (Trenton, Oneida Co.)
