Notes

The only record we have (as of September 2014) for David Lojo is the following in Chalkley's Chronicles:

Page 235.--10th May, 1754. James McCarroll to Valentine Pence, 275 acres by patent 5th July, 1751, on a branch of North River of Shanando. Cor. David Lojo.

This record indicates that David was living somewhere in the watershed of the North Branch of the Shannandoah River in 1754. His neighbors included James McCarroll and later Valentine Pence.

A search for David Lojo on Ancestry, turned up no lineages, or other additional records other than references to the above record. It may be useful to check information about his immediate neighbors mentioned in this record, person:James McCarroll (5) and Person:Valentine Pence (1).

In Checking the WeRelate entry for James Carroll nothing of interest was found. However, in checking Valentine Pence the following record was located

Page 67.--25th May, 1761. Valentine Pence's will--Wife, Cathrine; brother's son, Jacob Pence; first born son, Adam Pence. To Jacob Nicholas, deed to be made for land sold, viz: One-half of a tract of 168 acres devised to him by Stophel Francisco. Lawfully begotten children, viz: Adam, Jacob, Henry, John, Catherine, Sarah, Barbara and Mary, and one in the womb. Executors, Jacob Nicholas, Peter Miller, they to sell tract on Nelson's Run joining David Logan's land. Teste: Jno. Craig, Jacob Nicholas. Proved, 18th August, 1761, by the witnesses. Nicholas refuses to execute. Miller qualifies, with Christopher Harmentrout, Jacob Parsinger, Fredk. Harmentrout.

This suggests that at one point Pence owned land adjacent to David Logan. Perhaps "Logo" is a corruption of "Logan".
