    Obituary: Clinton John Robison
By Deseret News Oct 30, 2001

Clinton John (Jack) Robison passed away peacefully early Monday morning, Oct. 29, 2001, with many of his loved ones gathered around him. He succumbed after a short but viliant battle with cancer. He and his wife, Joyce, have resided in South Jordan, Utah for the past year having moved here from Herndon, Virginia.

Jack, by which he was affectionately known, was born May 9, 1927 in Bingham Canyon

Utah. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Samuel Robison. His father was the former Bishop of the LDS ward in Bingham where the family were long time residents. He was raised in the close knit mining community having attended grade school, junior high, and graduated with honors as a Bingham High Miner in 1945. He joined the Navy right after graduation near the conclusion of World War II. He was stationed at Great Lakes Naval Training Center initially and then was schooled in the technology of radar and electronics at several other locations. He remained stateside during his entire military tenure. After his military discharge, he attended the University of Utah graduating in 1950 with a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering. He married his high school sweetheart, Jenna Vee Olsen, in the Salt Lake Temple, Sept. 7, 1948. Shortly after his graduation, he and his wife and new son moved to California where he worked as an Electrical Engineer.

His wife Jenna Vee "Candy" passed away January 29, 1989. Jack remarried a fellow Talley Corporation employee where he and she worked for many years.

Joyce and Jack were married February 24, 1990. They purchased a home in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Before moving to Utah, however, he and Joyce served an LDS Mission in "The Bronx" in New York, from Sept 1992 to Sept 1993. Jack and Joyce lived in Pleasant Grove from 1993 to 1997 at which time they moved to Bluemont, Va. After 2 1/2 years they moved to Herndon, Va. They returned back to Utah in October of 2000 settling in So. Jordan, Utah.

Jack is preceded in death by his first wife, Jenna Vee, his Mother, Hazel, His father, Clinton and his sister, Mary Sue who died as an infant. He is survived by his wife Joyce of So. Jordan, his son Greg Robison and family, of Bluemont, Va., his daughter, Debbie Zuroff and family of San Bernadino, Ca. and his step daughters, Lisa Barlow of Santa Rosa, Ca. and Geri Wardlow of Herndon, Va. and his brother, Dr. Sam Robison and family of Salt Lake City Utah.

Jack was a top notch Sales Engineer specializing in the Aircraft industry in manufacturing and engineering and the proposal aspects of Sales and was held in high esteem by those colleagues with whom he labored. He was active in his LDS faith and held a diversity of positions in the Church. Most recently he labored as a Temple worker at the Jordan River Temple, a work which he enthusiastically enjoyed. He was a lover of what he called "a good book" being constantly found with his nose in a book. His sight was failing him during the last year but thanks to the computer-on-line availability and large print books, he kept well entertained. He enjoyed attending many concerts, and was also an avid TV sports fan. He touched the lives of countless people during his 74 year earthly sojourn and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His 10 grandchildren adored him, his sibling looked up to him, his cousins and aunts and uncles admired him and his God now welcomes him with those who have passed on and are anxiously awaiting his arrival.

His viewing will be held at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Wednesday from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. 4335 W. 4100 South, West Valley City, Ut. Funeral Service will be at the Country Park 2nd Ward, 2447 W. 11400 So., South Jordan, Ut., November 1, 2001.

Viewing will be from 11:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. with the services beginning at 12 noon. There will be a light lunch held for family and friends at the ward following the services. Interment will be in Westlake Village, Ca. Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Pierce Bros. Valley Oaks Mortuary and Cemetery at 11 A.M.
