Clifton was a section foreman for the O&K Railroad along with Ira Dunn his father-in-law according to Sarah Dunn (Sister of Angeline Dunn.) He was also listed as a farmer on his marriage certificate and a miner on his death certificate. Death certificate lists the cause of death as a "hurt back" from an injury at work. It also states due to artiriosclerosis.? Clifton was very young - 45 years old at his death on July 26, 1941. Wife Angeline died March 10, 1941 just four months before. Clifton was 23 years old when he married.
