Obituary

Emma Yockey Dies Following Long Illness

Miss Charlotte Emma Yockey, a resident of Taylorville her entire life, died at 1:45 o'clock this morning in her home at 400 East Franklin Street. She had been in failing health the last few years.

Miss Yockey was born June 24, 1878 near Grove City, the daughter of the late Jacob and Sarah Martin Yockey. Following her graduaction from Taylorville High School, she attending the Conservatory of Music at Oberlin, Ohio. Miss Yockey was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Miss Louisa, this city; Mrs. Ellen M. Devin, Chicago; one brother, William M., of Decatur; and one nephew, Floyd L. Yockey, Decatur.

The body was removed to the Chestnut-Pearce funeral home, where arrangements for the funeral are incomplete.

The family asks that flowers be omitted.
