    QUAY 3 "Mrs. Cecelia McPeak Hathaway, wife of Arthur Hathaway, city editor of the Detroit News, died Thursday. She had been ill several months. Mrs. Hathaway, the mother of six sons, five of whom are in th e United States Navy, underwent an operation Feb. 9 in Providence Hospital.
    She was born 52 years ago in Saginaw. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McPeak. Her husband is a native of Corunna, Mich. The family home is at 1197 Edison.
    She was a graduate of Saginaw High School and St. Mary's Acadamy, Monroe, Mich. She moved with her parents to Durand, then to Detroit in 1913.
    Her marriage, Sept. 12, 1916, was the first marriage ceremony in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 9844 Wodward. She is also survived by a brother, Earl McPeak, of San Francisco..."
    The sons are Ensign James A., USNR, San Diego; Charles A. and John F., both Navy firemen second class; Ensign William J., USNR., Robert A., Navy fireman first class, Camp Peary, Vs. and Arthur J. , who is studying for the priesthood at St. Michaels College
