At the residence of her son, near Busseyville, Jefferson Co., Wis., Sept. 4th, 1874, Mrs. Catherine Pierce, widow of Daniel Pierce, and daughter of Elias Lewis, aged 83 years. The subject of this notice was born in Hopkinton, R. I., Feb. 15th, 1791, where she resided until her marriage, after which she was a resident of the States of New York, Illinois, and Wisconsin. She publicly professed Christ in early life, and united herself with the Seventh-day Baptist denomination, of which she remained a member until her death.
