Blanche Glascock, daughter of William Glascock and the former Elizabeth Elder, was born in 1759 in the area around Fauquier County, Virginia. Blanche's brother, Thomas, was a distinguished soldier in the Revolutionary Army, first as a
    Captain and afterward a General.

Blanche married Robert Walton, son of George and Martha [Hughes] Walton in 1775. They made their home, "Rosney" in Augusta, Georgia; where they had seven children. Robert was a distinguished political leader in the Georgia Colony and later as a state senator and justice of inferior court for the county of Richmond.

Tragically, Robert was killed from a horse accident and Blanche died several days later from the shock and strain; leaving their children orphans. Her brother, Thomas, acted as their guardian until they were of age.

Blanche Glascock Walton was buried in the family cemetery, Rosney, on the 27th of August 1800 at the age of 41 years old.
