Funeral services for Aurora Rivas Taylor-Woolery, 78, Lawrence, will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor-Woolery died Thursday, March 30, 2006, at her home.
She was born July 1, 1927, in Guatemala, the daughter of Pablo de Jesus Rivas and Emelia Teresa Guevara-Rivas.
Mrs. Taylor-Woolery was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Rebekah's Friendship Lodge No. 754 and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem-Fidelity Shrine No. 11.
She married Mario Enrique Rivas Solorzano in Guatemala. They later divorced. She married William E. Taylor on Nov. 14, 1952, in the Panama Canal Zone. He died May 31, 1965. She then married Donald Eugene Woolery on Jan. 13, 1971, in Lawrence. He died April 23, 1985.
Survivors include three sons, Edgar Rivas, Houston, Borbi Rivas, Guatemala, William Taylor Jr., Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; two daughters, Victoria Pugliese, Westminster, Calif., and Sandra Taylor, Skellytown, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A great-granddaughter died earlier.
