Obituary of Mrs. Arie Rice, Wednesday, February 17, 1965.

ROYSTON, Georgia. - Mrs. Arie Berryman Rice, 82, widow of Jesse M. Rice, died about 9:20 Monday night in a Gainesville convalescent home after several years of ill health. Mrs. Rice was a daughter of the late John A. and Elizabeth Johnson Berryman. She was a member of Mill Shoals Baptist Church. Survivors: two sons, Frank Rice of Spartanburg, S.C., and W. Buel Rice of Royston of Royston; two daughters, Mrs. Charlie Jordan and Mrs. Joe Bryant both of Royston; a brother Harold Berryman, also of Royston; four sisters, Mrs. Carmel Powell of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Kathryn Carter of Greenville, Mrs. J. M. Martin, Sr., of Elberton, and Mrs. P. J. Seigler of Spartanburg; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Mill Shoals Baptist Church. The Rev. Albert Huyck and the Rev. Neal Windom will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, grandsons pallbearers. The body, at Pruitte Funeral Home, will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. The family is at the residence of Mrs. Charlie Jordan, 165 East College St.
