    A.C. Splitstone, Former Wooster Resident, Succumbs

    Allen C. Splitstone, a Newaygo county resident most of his life, died Friday at his home in White Cloud, following a lingering illness. He was 75 years old.
    Mr. Splitstone was born in Sherman township on Sept. 23, 1872, living at Wooster until young manhood, when he moved to Benzie county where he lived for 26 years. he was a lumberman and carpenter by occupation. He was married Nov. 1, 1906 to Miss Myrtle Rust of Thompsonville and following their marriage they lived at the family homestead in Wooster for 24 years. The old building burned and they built a new home. In 1943 they moved to White Cloud and lived there since.
    Surviving are the widow; two brothers: Raymond and LeRoy of Fremont; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Reed and Mrs. Edith Vandenberg of Grand Rapids. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Crandell & Ensing chapel in White Cloud with Rev. Garth Smith officiating. Burial took place in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
