Alice Amelia Thompson Myers born September 7, 1884, at Eskridge, Wabaunsee county, Kansas, and departed this life at her mother's home, 434 Buchanan street, Topeka, Kansas, on May 21, 1920, at the age of 35 years, eight months and 14 days, after an illness of several months.

At three years of age she moved with her parents to Jefferson county, near Thompsonville, in which community she resided until her death.

She was married to Alonzo F. Myers, January 8, 1914.

She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, mother, two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Doel of Topeka, Mrs. Maud MacCorkell of Philadelphia, Penn., and two brothers, Louis J. Thompson of Oskaloosa and Clarence H. Thompson of this vicinity, and two step children Roy and Elsie Myers and many other relatives and a host of friends.

She united with the Methodist church at Thompsonville at an early age and lived a true Christian life to the end, bearing the suffering of her recent illness in silence and with patience.

She always met one in need with a consoling word and a helping hand and all who knew her have only good to say of her. She was a kind, true, lovable wife, daughter and sister and a good neighbor. It has been truly said of her, that she never said a word that would make an enemy.

Funeral services were held at Thompsonville church, Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, conducted by her former pastor, Rev. John Patterson of Eudora. A large crowd of sympathizing relatives and friends were there to pay their last tribute of respect to this splendid woman.
