Yes. The records he brought home from Andersonville were never used in the trial of Capt. Wirz, possibly because of the monumental legal entanglement his superior, Dorrance Atwater [1], got into with the Federal Government over ownership, etc. of these records. Also this article was written some 50 years after he died.--Susan Irish 15:51, 21 February 2021 (UTC)
