I think this picture was taken by an itinerant photographer, who then mailed the photo as a postcard to the person who paid for it. The adult woman in the picture is Martha Krom Quick. Her daughter Emily is standing in the road. Her son Wesley is on the fence, and her son Spencer is clinging to her skirt. Her daughter Rosa has her hand to her face. Spencer was born in 1910, so I estimate the date of the photograph to be about 1913.
