Children of Jacob Monroe and Mary Elizabeth Caby LACY. Both parents died by the time their youngest child was less than 3 years old. The 6 younger boys were raised by the oldest girl, Lottie, who was barely an adult herself and had a daughter of her own soon after named Valley. The younger girl Lola was raised by the 2nd oldest girl Emma.

It's believed that Lottie & Emma (and their spouses) tried to keep part of the land that their grandfather Johnson Lacy had once owned in Bollinger County. This land was near the church and cemetery that their parents were buried at. (Mt. Pleasant)
