Original photograph was in the collection of Martha Clarinda Crum Haines (Mrs. Harley O. Haines), 1905-2002, d/o John F. Crum & Etta Faulkner Crum.

William Henry Faulkner & his wife, Mary Elizabeth Blackman, had 7 daughters. Two died young (Isabelle & Carrie/Clara). Henrietta "Etta" (Martha Crum Haines's mother) married July 1889 & Nellie married October 1900. I am guessing that this photo was taken after October 1900 because it includes the 3 living, single daughters of William & Mary Faulkner, and a friend, Pauline S. On the back is written "Ida, Martha, Julia and Pauline S." I am guessing that Pauline is standing on the right. rc
