Emil was born in Bavaria 8 Jan 1850 to Francis & Kathryn CHRISTMAN SCHWARZ. They had 10 children, Emil was among the youngest. His cousins became Catholic priests. One, Nicholas RHODEN, was sent to S. America, where he left the priesthood after meeting and marrying a Panamanian woman. Anna BOMMERSHEIM was 6 years younger than Emil when he sent for her in Frankfort-am-Main, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany. Emil married Anna in Philadelphia 1877. They had 4 daughters: Anna Maria, Carolyn, Katherine, and Julia. Their last names have been dissolved by across-generation marriages. I'm looking for their German roots.
