According to a memo dated 22 Feb 1989 by Rosemary (Flohre) Howard, John Gerhard and his wife lost a boy at about age 7, and that's why they wanted to raise Anthony Flohre. Rosemary says John's wife was a Flohre, but Eugene says his wife was a Pruitt.
