"James, born Taunton, Mass, 14 SEP 1731 - died Hartford, NY 1805, Married in Providence, R.I. to Mary Anthony and had seven children. Amasa born 21 APR 1754 at Taunton, Mass.; Alice 1756; Anthony 1758; Stephen 1761; Ruth 1763; Jonathan 1765; David 1769. James was an Ensign in Colonel Thomas Church's Rhode Island Regiment.

Amasa - noted preacher of Harford, NY. Born in Taunton Mass 21 APR 1754, died Hartford, NY 22 January 1830. Second wife - Deborah Carr - had eight children. James Brown, Abigail, Benjamin, John, Amasa Jr, Stephen, Anthony and David. Amasa was a private in Mass. troops during the Revolutionary war.

James, born 1775, died 1864, married Persis Robinson - born 1782 - died 1810. Had at least two sons, Orlando born at Swanton, Vermont 27 Oct 1800. DAR records show a James, JR born in 1800 also so it is possible Orlando was a twin."
