Zummach in Ontario, Canada

This family is descended from Carl Zummach who settled in Renfrew County in the mid 1800's. As far as I can tell (so far) there is no relationship to the Zummach's of the Dakota's and other nearby mid-western states. There is also no relationship (yet) established to the Zummach/Zumach family of Grey County, Ontario.

Several members of the family heeded to call to "Go West" and later changed the spelling of their surname to Summach, and in one case Zummack.
