Commentary

The following data is from Book 2 of the Russell County Court Order Records. Only records which contain the surname "Huston" are included. There are 96 such records. Some records show only a last name, though it may be possible to identify the Huston involved by looking at other records in context. Some records refer only to "Huston's Mill". The majority of records explicitly refer to "William Huston", believed to be Person:William Houston (21) who settled at Houston's Fort on Moccasin Creek, and probably the owner of "Huston's Mill". Of the remaining records, one refers to John Huston.

Note that no entries were found in the Robinson Transcription which used the spelling of "Houston"; all entries used the spelling "Huston".
