Several publications dates are associated with this work.

The title page of a hardcopy of this work shows that it was issued in 1973, and included in the title the phrase "revised and enlarged edition". This implies a prior publication, but the extensive premise to this work gives no clue as to a previous version, other than repeating the statement that it is a "revised and enlarged edition".has been found about this previous edition. The WeRelate Agent also picked up a publication date of 1978 suggesting that there was a second edition.

Note:The title page of the 1973 edition gives the title as:
