A collection of genealogical notes collected by Nathaniel Goodwin "from the time of his appointment to the office of probate judge for Hartford, Connecticut in 1833 and continued until late in his life. Mr. Goodwin was well known for his love of genealogy, he was an original incorporator of the Connecticut Historical Society and also vice president of the New England Historic Genealogical Society at the time of his passing. These notes are not designed to be complete genealogies. The collection gives names, dates and other valuable information for some of the first settlers of Connecticut and Massachusetts."
