Usage Tips

(FHL) Microfilm of typescript records (made in 1942, 91 p.) in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Contains in Vol. 1. baptisms 1766-1829, confirmations 1785-1825, marriages 1766-1804, communicants 1826-1828. Contains in Vol. 2. baptisms 1833-1878. Contains in Vol. 3. financial account, subscription list for new church 1832, financial accounts, subscription lists. The congregation was organized in 1756 and built a church called Lebanon Church "at the Blue Mountain". It was also known as Windsor Church "in and around the Blue Mountain", not to be confused with Windsor Castle Church. In 1769 a second church was built, also called Lebanon. By 1826 the Reformed congregation was sharing the church and in 1832 both congregations built St. Paul's, also known as Smoke Church. The union arrangement ended in 1964.
