Mexico is a town in the northeast part of Oswego County, New York, United States. The population was 5,197 at the 2010 census. The town contains a village also named Mexico. NY 104/Main Street passes through the village. NY 69 passes through the town of Mexico and comes to an end in the village, where it intersects with NY 104. U.S. Route 11 also passes through the town.

The town was created in 1792 in the Town of Whitestown while in Herkimer County, New York. The town was re-established in 1796, containing a large part of present Oswego County. Subsequently, the town was reduced to form new towns in both Oswego and Jefferson County.

The Stillman Farmstead, Slack Farmstead, and Asa and Caroline Wing House are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
