Knapdale is a general region.

A district of Argyll and Bute, Knapdale lies to the north of the Kintyre peninsula and south of the Crinan Canal which separates it from the district of Lorne. It includes Loch Sween, Loch Caolisport and the Knapdale Forest to the north. Its principal settlement is Ardrishaig. Knapdale was associated with the Macneill and Macmillan clans.
