Plaats Rotterdam Datum doop 21-05-1807
free translation: Today, 6 May 1822, appeared to me mr. Adam Schadee clerk in Rotterdam: Mr Abraham Leenhoff, Music master and miss Suzanna van Aanholt, husband and wife, living in Delft. She, assisted by her husband who is authorized to co-sign. The aboved mentioned man and wife ‘confes’that they have a son born before their marriage, Born in Rotterdam, 27 April 1807 and Baptized and registered in de Roman-Catholic Church Steiger (?) in Rotterdam and given the name of Cornelius Antonius van Aanholt. That probably in this register only the mother’s name is listed but that the father was present too and named. (note: because they were not married the Church probably won’t mention the father) By their marriage in 1810 in ‘s-Gravenhage, they forgot (because they didn’t know ?) to acknowledge the child. Because they love and cherish the child they came today to acknowledge it official and give it it’s rightfull name
didn't translate it completely though --henk 09:02, 20 January 2013 (EST) |
