!BIRTH: In the Monell genealogy that was placed in the Family History Library in the section on William Monell and Mary Eager I found on page 198 in discussing the family of William Monell and Frances Tuthill the book reads: "Record of the baptism of Samuel, "Son to William Munal" is found in Bethlehem Cornwall Presbyterian Church. In the same church on Dec. 8, 1776 "William Munneel, Son to James Wilkins" was baptized." We presume the wife of James Wilkins (Wilkin) was a Monell and, it is likely, a sister of William." BIRTH: Originally had guessed his birth as about 1775. I have a copy of a letter from Wilfred Wilkins Baker of Wapakoneta, OH from 1975 that gives the full date I am using (30 Oct 1776). She is a descendant of Beriah and I suspect she has or has seen the family Bible. NOTE: She has his death as 5 Mar 1857. Need to verify.
