Information from A. Wallace. The marriage was solemnized according to the Free Church of Scotland at 19 Woodside Terraace of William Wedderspoon (aged 42), Glasgow merchant, 13 Montague (?) Place, Glasgow, son of William Wedderspoon, solicitor, Perth, and Mary Murray (dec.), and Ann Eliza Murray (aged 26), 19 Woodside Terr., daughter of Patrick Murray, Glasgow writer (dec.) and Frances McGrigor (dec.) (scotlandspeople). Ann's address was the home of Alexander Bennett McGrigor.

Ann Eliza MURRAY (31dec1833 Glasgow (IGI)-1867 Park Terr., Glasgow) married William WEDDERSPOON (1818 Balhousie, Perth-1887 Birkenhead), US merchant, brother of Thomas Coventry and Mary Cusine, son of William Wedderspoon (9apr1776 Perth-1865 Tayside, Perth), writer, and Mary Murray (1784 Edinburgh-1818 Tayside) and had children (A. Wallace). William married 2nd Elizabeth Gardiner Jolly (1830 Rhynd, Perth (IGI)-1918 Kent). William, like his brothers John and Thomas, worked for Cross and Co. A daughter of Elizabeth G. Jolly, Helen Elizabeth, married Rev. Thomas Percy Clarke, MA, 7may1929 at Tunbridge Wells (Times).

PO directory 1866: William Wedderspoon (of Cross, Wedderspoon and Co., 49 West George St.), ho. 10 Park Terr., Glasgow. In 1881 the family were at Kensington, London (census).
