Jacob. August 27, 1801 James Gatewood and w. Frances, now of Fayette Co., sold land in Amherst Co. to James R. Penn of Bedford Co; the Amherst Co., land was on the south side of Berry's Mt., bounded by land of Messers Robertson, Spencer, Lane, Thomas Wilsher and William Tyree (suspect this is the William referred to because this family's Sarah married Joseph Wilsher).
