Bill was a policeman, and a brave, handsome man. He was shot in the line of duty around age 30. he was chasing a man who had already killed another policman. He was chasing him up some stairs to the roof, when he was shot and killed instantly. There is a statue of him in front of the courthouse in Carbondale, PA.

Anne visited park in 2001 and saw statue. It has been moved out of park to front of police statue.

WILLIAM MC ANDREW – was a Lieutenant of Police Department in Carbondale and was shot and killed in the line of duty on January 16, 1913. There was a monument erected for him in the city park of Carbondale in memory of him
