  1.   Orphans Court Docket A:92, 14 Mar 1796 - "Petition of John Cochran, Samuel Cochran, Margaret Cochran,Sr., Margaret Cochran,Jr. & Robert Cochran, showing that William Cochran Sr. died intestate owning a tract of land on Loyalhanna Creek in Derry Twp, containing 380 acres 58 perches, surveyed on a warrant dated 26 Feb 1788; and leaving a widow, Margaret, and seven children: Robert, Jean w/o John Cochran, Mary w/o David Rankin (since deceased and leaving 6 children: Jean, William, Mathew, Margaret, Chambers, and Matty, all under age), William, Margaret, Samuel and James, and requesting an inquest to view the property and make partition, or else value the land.".
