According to Homer Smith, W. G. helped bury Green, got sick and died a few days later.
From Marvin Young: Josephine's husband Wilburn Green Eaton is said to have got wet and cold helping dig Green Lafayette Smith's grave and died 4 days later.
He was bn. 7 Oct. 1856 in ILL.,died 2 Feb 1886 in Eastland Co. TX. Buried in the cem. at Cisco. TX. next to Green and Eliza Smith. [info from
Josephine and Wilburn were married 11 Nov.1883 in Eastland Co. TX. They only had one son my grandfather Wilburn Layfayette Eaton bn. 22 Aug.1884 in Eastland Co. TX. Died 16 Dec. 1968 in Sulphur Spring,TX.
Married Ollie Catherine Hart 10 Jan.1904. Josephine bn. 17 Jan.1867 Coryell Co. TX. died 30 Dec 1934 Colorado City, Mitchell Co.,Tx.
Her second husband was William Dulin. They had 5 children. There was 4 boys and a girl. Guy A,Joe, Emory, Bedford,and Edgar.
The only picture of Wilburn Green Eaton that we knew about burned up in a house fire when my mother was a little girl. No Smith pictures except Josephine.
Mary Susanna Smith Alexander and her husband J.W. Alexander, and Henry Madison Smith, Mary's brother [they are both children of Green Lafayette & Eliza Maria Karnes Smith] are buried with Green and Eliza Smith also.
