Tobias Schuchardt (Schucker) was born on 8 February 1747 in PA. Birth date (O.S.) - Baptized same day in parish house by Brother Pyrlaed; Sponsors: Stephen Brecht, Tobias Bockel, Nicol Glat, Friedrich Gerhardt and Johannes Meyer. Tobias's name appears on the Berks County tax records in Heidelberg in 1773 and 1775 and in Tulpehocken 1783-1801. Tobias Schucker, private in Captain Shireman's Company, 6th Battalion of Berks County Militia, cammanded by Joseph Heister. (PA Archives)
