Died in Rehoboth, Plymouth Colony, after he made his will there on 11 April, 1663, and before it was sworn to Governor Thomas Prince at Plymouth the last of February 1663/4. He was described in 1663 as late of New London, Connecticut. [1]

"'Thomas Bowin late Inhabitant of New London in the Jurisdiction of Conecticott; though att p'sent sojourning in the towne of Rehoboth in the Collonie of New Plymouth' made his will 11 April, 1663. Bequests were as follows:
To 'my son Richard Bowen one matchlocke muskett and one sword with all my tooles belonging to the trad of a Cooper; and four pewter platters; alsoe … one 2 yeare old heiffer; and alsoe my will is that my well beloved wife Elizabeth Bowen shall keep this heiffer and the encrease therof for my son Richard Bowin and that shee shall bring him up in the feare of the Lord and teach him to write and Read;'
To 'wife Elizabeth Bowen all the Rest of my houshold goods' also 'one house and home Lott containing seaven acrees and an halfe more or lesse lying in the abovesaid New London; as alsoe one alottment of upland and meddow lying on the east side of the great River in the same towne Containeing thirty six acrees more or lesse with all privilidges and Just Rights therto belonging' also 'two Cowes with theire encrease and three younge Cattle; and I Doe make … my … wife my sole exequitrix … to whom alsoe I give all my Debts Requiring her to see the legacyes given unto my son Richard af or said payed … and paying all my Debts'
'I also will … that my Brother Obadiah Bowen and my brother in law Robert ffuller bee overseers of this my last will'
