    Theophilus Eaton (January 7, 1658) was a wealthy Puritan merchant, first Governor of New Haven Colony, Connecticut, co founder of that same colony and co founder of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. His brother, Nathaniel Eaton, was Harvard's first Headmaster.
