Facts and Events
I found Thad and Amy listed in the cemetery book for Woodlawn cemetery outside of Ada: Thaddeus L. Bearinger, 31 Aug 1903 and Amy Bearinger, 5 Sep 1953. I found an obit for Thaddeus, but not for Amy. Ada Record, Wed. Sep. 2, 1903 Death of Thad Bearinger Thad L. Bearinger died at Lima, at the home of his mother, last Sunday night. His wife is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Tyler, of this city. Mr. Bearinger was for several years a compositor in this office and a more faithful, conscientious, industrious and courteous employee we never had. He never gave his employer any annoyance and rendered a full mead of faithful, honest service; no word of complaint, no fault finding, no discourteous retort ever escaped his lips. He was the embodiment of a faithful employee and the Record was pleased at his advancement. He went from here to Chicago and was soon promoted to a cashiership with a big insurance company there. You could not keep that kind of a young man down if you wanted to. The grim destroyer, consumption, seized upon him and marked him for a victim. He gave up his position and his bright prospects in life and went to Denver with the hope of warding off the disease, but it was too late. He leaves a wife and child, a widowed mother and sisters to mourn the loss of a tender husband, a loving son and brother. He was infinitely devoted to his family. So long as reason sits enthroned there will be in the Editor’s memory gallery one niche sacred to the memory of Thad. Bearinger. He died at 3:40 AM Married by the Reverend M.H. Appleby References
