Sunny D. (Crumrine) Fullas passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 20, 2019 at the age of 65. She was born in Washington, PA on March 25, 1954 to Frank E. and Eloise D. (Davis) Crumrine. She graduated from Bethlehem Center High School in 1972, where she played the clarinet and was active in the marching band. In the late 80’s, she was afforded the opportunity to pursue her dreams by going back to college. She graduated from The Pennsylvania State University Harrisburg first with her Bachelor’s Degree in 1990 and then with her Master’s Degree in 2000, both in Community Psychology.
For over 30 years, she worked with her husband to combat domestic violence in the community. They worked with both victims and offenders, eventually owning their own business, Solais, Inc., to offer batterers intervention counseling services. Along with that, Sunny most recently worked with the West Shore School District and Mazzetti & Sullivan as an adolescent counselor.
Sunny is survived by her husband of 22 years, Robert Fullas; step-son, Jon Fullas; daughter, Carissa (Jeremy) Duttry; her two beloved grandchildren, Chelsea & Lucas, and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-son, Erik Fullas.
My mother was a true light in this world. She was a nurturer by nature and didn’t fear loving with her whole heart. She championed the wish for a kinder, more loving society...and also for the Steelers to win on any given Sunday. In her memory, please call someone you love or spread kindness in whatever way you deem. That was the essence of my mom.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday, December 27 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 310 Hertzler Road, Mechanicsburg, where there will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
