    [Case 1008]
Will of Seth Aldrich, Sen., a farmer of Uxbridge, dated 26 Sep 1737, presented 9 Nov 1737, names wife Mary, son Samuel under age, son William, son Jonathan, "his Heirs of his Body Lawfully Begotten", Samuel to pay sister Elizabeth Aldrich, four daughters viz. Sarah Richardson, Susanna Willy, Dinah Aldrich and Abigail Aldrich, daughter Deborah Aldrich, son Abel Adrich and friend Moses Farnum as executors.
    Inventory taken 25, 26, & 29 Oct 1737.
Agreement by heirs after contesting will, dated 9 Nov 1737, signed by Seth and Jacob Aldrich, sons of the deceased; Isaac Richardson who married daughter Sarah; John Wyley who married daughter Susana; Edward Aldrich who married daughter Dinah; Samuel Thayer as guardian to Jonathan, Abigail, and Deborah; widow who was guardian of Samuel and Elizabeth.
Homestead divided between widow and son Samuel, minor who chose Samuel Thayer as guardian. [This last item is undated and must have occurred later since the mother was his guardian in 1737. This indicates he was 14, in order that he would be allowed to chose a guardian.]
14 Aug 1742: Final accounting filed by Abel Aldrich.
