    MRS. SALINDA HENDRICKSON

Salinda Marker, daughter of John and Catherine Marker, was born in Darke county, Ohio, May 1, 1861, and departed this world, after an extended illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Isabell Smith, in Des Moines, at one o'clock Sunday, Nov. 17, 1946, at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 16 days.

She was united in marriage to George Hendrickson on December 25, 1881 and to this union fourteen children were born. Her husband and six children preceded her in death.

She came to Lucas twenty-eight years ago and resided in Lucas until about two years ago when, because of failing health, she went to live with her children.

She accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with the Methodist church in 1937.

She leaves to mourn her passing eight living children, Mrs. Isabell Smith and Alva Hendrickson, of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Pearl Smith and Mrs. Elsa Nichols, of Clive; Mrs. Tina Neer, of Lacona; Grover Hendrickson, of Polk City, Iowa; Archie Hendrickson, of Denver, Colorado; and Frank Hendrickson, of Lucas; 38 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, other relatives and a large number of friends.

Her many friends deeply regret the death of one of Lucas' most beloved citizens.

The funeral services were held in the Lucas Methodist church Tuesday, November 19, at 2 p.m. and burial was in the Norwood cemetery. The Rev. Harold N. Olson of Milo, was in charge of the services.

The pall bearers were: John Smith, Robert Smith, Bert Smith, Freddie Smith, Darrel Neer and Doyle Neer. The music was by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Baker, Mrs. Charles Wood, Raymond Miller and Maude Larimer, all of Lucas, Iowa.
