Westminster, MD - Robert L. Wentz, 91, son of Paul C. and Bessie C. Wilson Wentz, born August 26, 1930, in Melrose, MD, husband of the late Nadine S. (Leppo) Wentz, with whom he shared forty years of marriage, and preceded in death by a brother, Calvin W. Wentz, a sister, Pauline (Haugh) Myers, a companion Mabel E. Smith, a daughter-in-law, Nancy A. Wentz, and a brother-in-law, Nevin Leppo.
Robert is survived by a son, Roger L. Wentz, a daughter, Cinda Reed and husband Keith Sr., two granddaughters, Jessica A. Wentz and Savannah M. Yingling and husband Dan, two grandsons, Ryan Wentz, and Keith Reed Jr., one great grandson, Carter J. Yingling, a sister, Catherine Zumbrum, a sister-in-law, Romaine Leppo, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Robert was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. Robert was a self-employed builder, operating Robert L. Wentz Custom Builder for over forty years until his retirement.
Robert was a member of St. David's United Church of Christ, Hanover, PA.
Robert enjoyed farming, tinkering and working with his hands, and spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at St. David's United Church of Christ, 142 Hobart Road, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial private and at the convenience of the family in St. David's Church Cemetery. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 12-2 PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the church.
